The PhD research project focuses on the evolution of the SW Iberian margin (Portugal) in the context of the Central and North Atlantic. Emphasis is given to the investigation of the syn-rift, the sequential stratigraphic framework and the correlation to the South Newfoundland conjugate margin. Additional aspects focus the post-rift evolution of the margin in relation to compression.
