Copyright Policy
Here at Cardiff University, we take copyright seriously and are asking you to do the same.
Copyright is actually very simple - if you don't own it, you cannot use it. If you want to use it (e.g. to install and run a software program), you either have to purchase, lease etc it or you have to obtain a written permission from the owner that are allowed to use it (e.g. to use a picture).
The same applies to movies, music etc. File-sharing per-se is not illegal - but if copyrighted content is distributed without the consent of the owner - it is!
