Cardiff University has a long history of welcoming students from Brunei and is an active member of BUBA, the British Universities Brunei Association. Popular subjects for Bruneian students at Cardiff include Healthcare, Business and Engineering.

Cardiff University visits Brunei every year, usually in the Autumn and Spring, and welcomes applications at all levels.

Undergraduate courses

You will be required to have the Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced (GCE A-Level) to be considered for Cardiff University's undergraduate programmes.

You will also be considered if you have the International Baccalaureate (IB) or BTEC qualification.

Postgraduate taught courses

If you have completed a good first degree, you will be considered for admission on to a one year master's degree. Cardiff University generally requires a 2:1 classification or above.

Postgraduate research programmes

If you are applying for research programmes from Brunei, you will be required to provide evidence that you have already carried out research, usually via the successful completion of a relevant master's degree.

You will be required to have a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognised institution with a good GPA and possibly also a relevant master's programme from a recognised institution.

English language

A relevant English language qualification is also required — if you have a grade C or above at GCSE level this is usually sufficient.

If you are unsure of your qualifications or entry requirements please contact the International Office.

I will be visiting Brunei regularly to meet and advise prospective students about applying and preparing for studying at Cardiff, supporting our in-country advisers and catching up with our alumni. My forthcoming visits will be advertised on this page so please keep checking for upcoming events as I would be delighted to meet with you then.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about studying or living in Cardiff, or would like advice and guidance, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I hope to hear from you soon.
