International Foundation Programme
You must complete the Bachillerato (High School Certificate) with an average grade of B / 75%.
If you have completed the Bachillerato you will usually need to undertake a foundation course before you can be admitted to an undergraduate programme at Cardiff.
Cardiff University will consider students with good grades in the GCE A-level examinations or the International Baccalaureate for entry onto our undergraduate programmes.
You will usually need to have completed a relevant first degree with a good GPA score.
Applicants who hold a Licenciatura with a promedio (GPA) of 8.0+ will be considered for admission to a Masters degree.
Postgraduate research programmes
If you are applying for research programmes from Mexico, you will be required to provide evidence that you have already carried out research, usually via the successful completion of a relevant masters' degree.
You will need to have successfully completed the Maesría in Mexico with a promedio (GPA) of at least 8.0.
A relevant English language qualification is also required — normally a minimum of 6.5 IELTS, however, this may vary from course to course.
If you are unsure of your qualifications or entry requirements please contact the International Office.
