Health and Life Sciences

The Health and Life Sciences International Foundation Programme (IFP) is a mixture of English language and Science based modules, designed for students who want to progress into Cardiff School of Biosciences or Cardiff School of Chemistry, or make an application for certain heath related course at Cardiff University.

Course Structure:

The Health and Life Sciences IFP is organised into 12 modules, giving you a total of 120 credits over two semesters (nine months). You will study a mixture of academic modules related to your intended degree programme, supported by further modules in English language and study skills.

  • Core Modules (60 credits) - these are modules for English language and study skills and are compulsory for all students
  • Subject Specific Modules (60 credits) - these are directly related to your intended choice of degree programme
