Tuition fees

Generic Student 2

International tuition fees vary depending on course, duration and level of study.

For detailed information about fees please visit our Finance Division pages.

Undergraduate fixed fees

Our undergraduate tuition fees are fixed for the majority of courses which are three years in duration. This means the price you pay in year one will be the same in years two and three, making it easier to plan and budget for your time in Cardiff.

Some courses are exempt, including four and five year programmes, so please check with the Finance Division for full clarification.

Deposits for postgraduate taught programmes

International students who have been offered a place onto a postgraduate taught programme will be asked to pay a deposit towards their tution fees in order to secure their place.

A deposit will not be required if:

  • You are in receipt of a full tuition fee scholarship or sponsorship from Cardiff University or a recognised sponsor or funding body;
  • You are in receipt of a full tuition fee bank or student loan;
  • You are studying on an approved progression programme at an approved partner institution.

Further details of deposit amounts and FAQs can be found here.

Student Discounts

When you become a student at Cardiff you get a student card which entitles you to discounts in many shops and restaurants.

You can also use it to apply for travel discount cards like a rail card or coach card.
