Electronic Journals on Lexis®Library
There are two ways of accessing Lexis®Library.
- Direct to Lexis®Library if you are using a computer in Cardiff University
- Via your CU Login if you are off campus.
CU Login indicates that you can use your Cardiff University Login to access the database. .
UK Journals
To search across all the UK journals held on Lexis®Library, from the Home page click on Journals on the navigation bar. With the Sources field set as All Subscribed Journals Sources enter your search terms and carry out your search.
To search an individual journal title, from the Home page click on Journals on the navigation bar, below the Sources box, click on More Sources, from the next page click Legal Journals to view a complete list of UK legal journals held on Lexis®Library. Click on the journal that you want to search then click on OK - Continue. You will be returned to the journals search screen where your chosen journal will appear in the Sources field. Enter your search terms and click Search.
US Journals
There are more than 650 US journals held on Lexis®Library. These journals can be searched individually or by group source.
Searching individual US journal title on Lexis®Library
To search an individual US journal title on Lexis®Library, from the Home page click on Sources at the top of the screen, then click on Browse Sources at the top of the screen, select United States search an individual US journal title on Lexis®Library, from the start page click on the Sources tab at the top of the screen. Select United States from the Country drop-down menu, then click on Legal Journals from the publication types, select Single Sources from the Group/Single Source drop-down menu to view the US journals hled on Lexis®Library. Click on the information icon to the left of the title to view coverage and content details for a journal on Lexis®Library.
Searching a group source of US journal titles on Lexis®Library
To search a group source of US journal titles on Lexis®Library, from the Home page click on Sources at the top of the screen, then click on Browse Sources at the top of the screen, select United States search an individual US journal title on Lexis®Library, from the start page click on the Sources tab at the top of the screen. Select United States from the Country drop-down menu, then click on Legal Journals from the publication types, select Group Sources the Group/Single Source drop-down menu to view the US journals group sources held on Lexis®Library. Click on the information icon to the left of the group source title to view coverage and content details of a group source. The most comprehensive collection of US journals held on Lexis®Library is the Law Reviews, CLE, Legal Journals & Periodicals, Combined group source.
Please note that the US journals titles held on Lexis®Library changes so often that we were unable to keep our A-Z list of US journals held on Lexis®Library up-to-date. Therefore, in the interests of accuracy we have decided to withdraw the list.
