A former newspaper reporter and sub-editor, Glyn has worked on a range of regional papers covering news beats including crime, health and local government. He has also worked as a feature writer, production and splash sub-editor before moving over into magazine and supplement design.
He is a member of the British Computer Society, Investigative Reporters and Editors, and the Online News Association
Teaching
Glyn teaches on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, specialising in online journalism and social media.

Research Interests
Interests include technology, communication and human computer interaction (HCI) and how these impact on journalism and education. Freedom of Information as a source for data journalism, and computer-assisted reporting and research are also key areas.
Supervision
Current supervisions at both postgraduate and undergraduate level include:
- The impact of the internet on the undergraduate experience
- Social capital within online communities
