14 Medi 2007

Around 2,500 students planning on applying to Cardiff University this autumn will attend the University’s Visit Day (14 September).

The Visit Day is designed to give an overview of student life at Cardiff University and a chance to find out more about studying some 80 different subject areas. Visitors will gain an insight into student life and see why Cardiff is the UK’s eighth most popular University for applications attracting some 37,000 applicants for 4,500 undergraduate places.

Potential students from all walks of life will be able to meet representatives from the University's 28 academic schools who will be on hand to offer advice and information on all University degree programmes at the Visit Day.

There will also be organised campus tours to include the award winning Students’ Union and one of the student residences, and a series of presentations on subjects such as UCAS and Applying to Cardiff, Student Life, Student Finance and Student Residences and Welfare.
