Adult Learners Week Logo

An exhibition showcasing work by past and present photography students will be displayed at the University as part of Adult Learners’ Week 2008.

Running from 17-23 May, the exhibition will be held at the cyber café in the Centre for Lifelong Learning. On show will be a selection of images, taken by adult learners participating in the Centre’s photography courses.

The exhibition is one of a number of events planned throughout the week by the Centre. Over the seven days, members of the public can take part in a series of free lectures and talks, including computing taster courses. Hand with pen

Scott Andrews, the Centre for Lifelong Learning’s Adult Learners’ Week coordinator said: "This is a national event which aims to encourage adults from all walks of life to get involved in learning new things. The events we’ve organised here at Cardiff’s Centre for Lifelong Learning offer both an introduction and an insight into the many courses and opportunities for learning that we offer."

Adult Learners Week runs from the 17-23 May across the UK and is organised by the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education.

Full details of the Cardiff events, which are all free, can be found on the University’s events pages, and the Centre’s web site at http://www.cardiff.ac.uk/learn/
