Applying for your Cardiff University Student Card by Post

As a distance learning student you are still entitled to receive a Cardiff University Student Card. You will need to apply for this card by completing the form below and sending it to your school office, along with a passport sized photograph. Your school will send your form to our Security office to get your card produced, they will then send the Cardiff University Card back to the school for distribution to you. You will need to make arrangements with your school to collect this card in person.

What is a Cardiff University Student Card?

It is advisable that you apply for this card if you are likely to be using resources or facilities on campus during your study.

This card has a number of important functions:

• Library and E-learning card
• Proximity card (entry to various University buildings)
• Proof of Identity
• Proof of membership of National Union Students (NUS)

You must submit a passport photograph with your application. The card will be pre-produced for you to collect in person, your School office will confirm where you should collect this card.

Please note before obtaining your Cardiff University student card:

You must complete online enrolment

You must provide proof of your identity at collection

You will not be issued with a card unless you are a registered student and provide the appropriate identification at collection.

It is advisable that you return your completed application form and photograph as soon as you receive your enrolment information.
