Alternative Course Offers
Where you have missed the terms of your initial offer but would be eligible for another programme of study which is linked to your initial choice, the University may make a changed programme of study offer:
- If the offer is within the same academic School as your initial choice and is closely allied to your original choice, the University will process a confirmation of your place with the amended programme details. The UCAS scheme gives you the option of accepting or declining this offer via the Applicant Enquiry Service, as the University has amended the terms of its offer. However, a changed programme offer within a School means that the School is very keen for you to study with them, despite you having missed your initial offer; and we hope that you view the alternative offer positively and will accept it;
- If the offer is in another academic School, but on a programme with some common features, learning outcomes or accreditation, an Admissions Tutor may, exceptionally, contact you by telephone to discuss an alternative programme offer immediately following the publication of results. These types of alternative programme offers are uncommon.
