I am in possession of both a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning and a Certificate in Teaching Statistics in Higher Education (Royal Statistical Society). My teaching interests and professional development is aligned with my research work and has a clear focus on physiotherapy provision for people with Long Term Neurological Conditions (LTNCs). I also have a particular interest in innovative methods for teaching research and statistics and the use of reliability analyses and mixed methods in healthcare research which has developed as a direct result of application in my research area. I am module leader of the Experimental Designs and Analysis and Ergonomics MSc modules and further contribute to teaching on the Research Methods of Health and Social Care, Neuroscience of human movement and dysfunction, and Neurorehabilitation modules. I am a member of the Cardiff University Clinical Epidemiology Interdisciplinary Research Group and collaborate with clinicians and researchers based both in other schools within Cardiff University and other academic institutions in the United Kingdom. This includes working with the Welsh Neuro-Rehabilitation Research Network and Rehab Evidence Project Group (REPG) and the Wales Neurological Alliance. I am also the clinical liaison link person for neurology for the developing post-graduate framework for Allied Health Professionals within NHS Wales. I regularly review grants submitted for funding and manuscripts submitted for publication in the field of physiotherapy, neurology and rehabilitation.
