Managing Care in Perioperative Practice (MSc/PgDip/PgCert )
The course consists of two years full-time study or four years part-time study to achieve the award of MSc in Perioperative Practice.
The modular structure of the Programme allows students to select the most appropriate profession-specific modules and shared or generic modules from a suite of modules within the postgraduate provision. These modules, amounting to 90 credits, together with the compulsory Research Methods and Dissertation modules, make up the required 180 credits.
Students who leave the Programme after completion of 60 credits will be eligible for the exit award of Post-Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Practice. Students who leave the Programme after completion of 120 credits will be eligible for the award of Postgraduate Diploma in Perioperative Practice. Completion of the remaining M Level credits will allow students to achieve the MSc in Perioperative Practice.
Who is this course aimed at?
The course is suitable for healthcare professionals working in the field of perioperative care, most notably Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) and Registered Nurses (RNs). Cardiff University will use its awarding powers in the awarding of this qualification. The Programme is offered to both home and overseas students.
