Cardiff School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies is a thriving centre for research and teaching at postgraduate level.  The School is committed to, and renowned for, excellence in teaching and research. With its outstanding facilities and friendly atmosphere, it attracts students from throughout the world.

Postgraduate programmes are designed for those who are registered nurses, midwives and healthcare professionals. The broad ranging student mixture enriches the learning and social experience of all our students.

Students in the School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies have the distinctive opportunity to work in a research-led and inter-disciplinary environment, taught by staff with local, national and international expertise.

Postgraduate Taught

The School offers an MSc in Advanced Practice, MSc in Nursing Studies (Germany), Postgraduate Diploma/Master of Science in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing and Postgraduate Certificate in Independent Prescribing.

Postgraduate Research

There are facilities, for suitable candidates, to register for the degrees of MPhil or PhD. These higher research degrees enable students who have the appropriate qualifications to study a particular topic in-depth.
